Dr Alicia How is the Director of Dr Alicia Eye Specialist and an eye surgeon in Cataract and Comprehensive Ophthalmology with a sub-specialty in Glaucoma and Anterior Segment Eye Surgery. She is a Ministry of Health-accredited ophthalmologist with more than 16 years of medical experience.

Our emphasis is on eye care for the whole family. Our friendly and patient staff have experience in caring for both paediatric and elderly patients. We believe in holistic care of our patients and in managing their eye condition(s) we are mindful of their systemic problems and that these need to be taken care of too. We aim to work with you, our fellow partners in providing the most efficient care for patients.

Our areas of expertise are in general ophthalmology including paediatric ophthalmic conditions, cataracts, myopia control, diabetic retinopathy, age related macular degeneration (AMD), tearing problems, thyroid eye disease, orbital and periorbital tumours and infections. Dr Alicia How has a special interest in Glaucoma.

We have a range of advanced ophthalmic diagnostic and imaging equipment in the clinic to aid with the treatment and management of patients. These include visual field testing and specialized optic nerve imaging for earlier diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. Our retina imaging and Optical Coherence Tomography machine facilitates early detection of changes in the retina secondary to age related macular degeneration (AMD) or diabetic retinopathy.
